Three People Brought to Hospital Following Vehicle Pile-up

A multiple-vehicle accident tied up an interstate in Phoenix, Arizona last week. As a result, three people were brought to area hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries. According to Lt. S.S., a truck heading eastbound swerved into oncoming traffic. He struck two vehicles heading westbound, causing a triple car pile-up. The driver of the pickup truck was reported to be in serious condition, as well as a 12-year-old boy in another vehicle. One more person was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Firefighters evaluated four more people involved in the car accident but determined that they did not need to seek immediate medical attention.

At this time, police are still investigating the accident. It is uncertain whether the truck driver was attempting to make a left turn or if something else happened. There is no word yet as to whether the truck driver was intoxicated or if speed was a contributing factor in the auto accident.
