Teacher Arrested for Sexual Contact with a Minor

In the city of Phoenix, police report that they have arrested a school physical education teacher because he allegedly had a sexual relationship with a student.

According to local law enforcement the teacher, Carl Mosher, started his relationship with the student in December 2010. At that time, the student was only 13 years old and the relationship continued until the student reached the age of 14.

Police say that the parents of the girl got in touch with police and said that they had discovered a relationship between the teacher and their daughter. Officers began their investigation shortly after and arrested Mosher the very next day.

Most of the contact between the teacher and the student took place on school campus in his office. Mosher was placed under arrest for four counts of sexual contact with a minor and at this time, police are still investigating to see if there are other victims.

Charges for sexual contact with a minor has serious implications for the future of those convicted. Those who are in a position of leadership with minors will most likely never be hired for that type of work, whether it is teaching, day care, counseling, and other similar jobs.
