Investigators Identify Victim of Pedestrian Accident

Investigators with the Lafayette Police Department have finally identified the victim of last week's pedestrian accident as Trent L. Sullivan, 51, or Arcadia.

On Feb. 24, 2011 police responded to a call at the intersection of West Pinhook Road at Lue Rue France for a crash involving a pedestrian. Investigators determined that Sullivan was crossing West Pinhook Road when a vehicle going southbound hit him. While the driver of the vehicle was not injured Sullivan was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police asked for the public's assistance this week in locating the victim's vehicle. It is a silver 2009 Dodge Ram pickup truck with a Louisiana license plate number X638497. The victim was employed by the offshore oil industry.
