Two Drivers Were Impaired during Crash

Police in Phoenix, Arizona believe that two drivers were impaired when they crashed into one another early last weekend. However, only one of those drivers walked away from the motorcycle accident alive. The victim, 56-year-old E.B., was riding his motorcycle when he collided with a SUV driven by a 40-year-old woman. When police arrived on the scene, the motorcyclist had already been declared dead despite being found with his motorcycle helmet on his head. Upon speaking with the surviving victim, it was apparent that she was under the influence of alcohol. She showed multiple symptoms of impairment and failed the field sobriety tests administered by the police officers.

Blood work should reveal whether the motorcyclist was also impaired. At this time, no charges have been brought against the female driver. It is uncertain who caused the accident and whether the surviving driver can be held solely responsible for the fatal motorcycle accident. Were you injured during a motorcycle accident in Arizona?
