Arrest Made in Two Year Old Murder Case

On Thursday, police from Phoenix announced that they were nearing closure in a murder case that is 2 years old. This week, officers made an arrest for the homicide that led to the death of a 32-year-old old woman by the name of Selina Navarro.

Authorities arrested their suspect on Baseline Road and say that the man is wanted for the murder that occurred the morning of October 26, 2009. According to reports, the victim dropped her children off at school and was killed shortly thereafter.

After apprehending the suspect, police charged the man with first-degree murder as well as burglary. Investigations produced leads that eventually led to sufficient information for police to charge the man with the two criminal offenses. Local news sources say that upon learning of the suspect's arrest, the victim's family was very happy.
