Five Arrested for Human Smuggling in Maricopa County

In Maricopa County, Arizona, local law enforcement agents recently arrested five individuals who entered the country illegally.

Prior to the arrests, police had been conducting an investigation in the North Valley area of the County. At 9:00 PM, they noticed signs that were indicative of human smuggling and say that during their investigation, eighteen individuals managed to flee from officers.

With the assistance of police helicopters and canine units, detectives were able to track down five of the alleged suspects. However, the exact location of the arrests has not been released.
