Bail Set at $100,000 for Sex Crime Suspect

In the city of Las Vegas a judge has set the bail for a 27-year-old former day care worker accused of sexually assaulting two children at $100,000.

According to a local newspaper, the suspect's attorney denied charges filed against Cameron Thomas that included kidnapping, lewdness with a minor and sexual assault. The attorney says that he is confident his client will be exonerated of the sex crime charges

If Thomas is convicted, the kidnapping charge alone carries a possible sentence of life in prison. Officers say that Thomas assaulted the girls who are now ages 9 and 11 for numerous years in various places outside of the day care facility where he once worked. Thomas was allegedly a former family friend of the girls.
