A tragic car accident took place this week in the city of Phoenix. Local news sources report that a man suffered a heart attack while he was driving his vehicle on Interstate 17. His medical condition caused him to hit another car on the freeway in north Phoenix.
Unfortunately, the 63-year-old man died as a result of his heart attack. His death was announced by Phoenix Fire Department spokesman Jonathan Jacobs.
Rescue crews were dispatched to the scene on northbound Interstate 17 at Thunderbird Road at approximately 9:30 PM.
Jacobs said that no one else was injured during the auto accident. At this time, the name of the victim has not been released to the public.
