Nurse Faces Sex Crime Charges

Friends and family of a nurse in Phoenix are shocked by the charges of sex crimes that have been given to Richard Sangalang, 39.

The nurse was found to be chatting with police online who were posing as a teenage girl on multiple occasions. He sent the "girl" pictures of his face and vehicle, along with requests for different types of sexual favors. It was only after his arrest that Sangalang admitted to police that he knew that he had been chatting with a minor.

He is now being held at the Madison Street Jail Clinic and faces three counts of soliciting sex with a minor. Before his arrest Sangalang worked as a registered nurse at Banner Estrella Medical Center. However, while the investigation is ongoing he will not be working at the hospital.
