Accident Takes 3 Lives in Peoria

A multi-vehicle accident in Peoria took the life of three and injured several others this weekend.

According to police reports, the accident happened around 3 a.m. at Northern and 107th Avenue. When a truck carrying two passengers ran the red light, it struck another truck going through the intersection. The impact was so great that the two cars caught on fire. Both drivers and the occupant were pronounced dead on the scene.

The car accident also involved a third car driven by a gentleman in his fifties. He was quickly transported to a Phoenix hospital, reportedly with non-life-threatening injuries. While the car accident is still under investigation, initial reports show that impairment does not appear to have been a contributing factor. Since the three bodies were so badly burnt, their condition before the accident may never be completely revealed.
