Police Still Investigating Single Car Accident

Officers with the Phoenix police department are still investigating a single-car crash that sent two people to the hospital last week.

The accident took place last Friday near 19th Avenue at an intersection. According to the responding firefighters, there were two men trapped inside the vehicle and they had to be carefully extricated from the wreckage. Once removed, they were brought to a local hospital and were listed in serious to critical condition. When viewing the wreckage later on the news, viewers could see the extent of the damage as the SUV laid on its roof next to the light pole that it struck.

While officers have yet to determine the cause of the accident, they are investigating the scene and will speak with the two men once they have regained consciousness.
