School Bus Hit 18 Year Old Victim

The Associated Press recently released a report that indicates a man who had exited a Valley Metro bus in Phoenix was hit and killed by a passing school bus after walking directly into the vehicle's path.

According to Phoenix police spokesman Sgt. Trent Crump, the young man who was about 18 years old stepped off of the bus at 7:30 AM on Thursday. He immediately crossed in front of the bus and stepped directly into traffic where he was hit by a school bus that was traveling eastbound.

At the time of the collision, the school bus was carrying about 12 very young students to Meyer Elementary School. Thankfully, no one was injured during the bus accident and police say that there aren't any witnesses to the crash.

The children were escorted to school and counselors called their parents to inform them about the accident. Police say that the school bus driver had little time to react before the collision occurred.
