Was Katherine Jackson Abducted?

Michael Jackson’s mother, Katherine Jackson, recently returned from a stay in Arizona. The press has described her out-of-state venture as everything from a relaxing resort vacation to an attempted abduction, and judges want to determine whether or not the rumors are true. According to The Los Angeles Times, Katherine Jackson returned from Arizona right after a capricious court debate about the custody of Michael’s two children. T.J. Jackson has requested temporary custody of the two, and in court described a strange phone call that he had received from his grandmother, Katherine, while she was “out-of-town.” He claims that she used odd word choices and kept pausing as she spoke into the cell phone.

Katherine left for Arizona on a trip that was planned by some of her children on July 15th. Not long after her unexpected departure, some of her family members filed a missing persons report. Eventually, deputies located Katherine in Arizona with her daughter, Debbie. Yet another lawyer told the judge that Katherine had been held against her will in Calabasas and then flew to Arizona to evade the situation.

Randy Jackson told Good Morning America that Katherine left California because of her health and said that the trip was nothing more than a respite to recover. Katherine’s lawyer tried to contact her while she was out because of the legal custody battle, and ended up flying to Tucson when he couldn’t get a hold of here. Upon arriving at a spa in the area, he was told that he was not allowed to see his client. Katherine Jackson’s assistant told him that phones were banned on the premises and that Katherine could not be disturbed.

Custody of Michael’s two children was temporarily awarded to T.J. in the battle because of third party concerns. But police are still trying to determine what exactly happened to Katherine Jackson for the week and a half that she was missing. As this case displays, a few miscommunications can bring along a lot of accusations. If you have been accused of a crime that you are innocent of, we understand that you are probably tangled in a mass of lies and truths, all twisted so that the real story is buried. Talk to a lawyer at Knowles Law Firm; we can work to untangle the mess and show that you are not connected with a case.
