Woman Allegedly Poisons Boyfriend with Visine

Woman Allegedly Poisons Boyfriend with Visine

According to a report on Yahoo! News, Vikki Jo Mills’ didn’t want to be tied to her boyfriend any longer, so she put Visine in his drink. About 15,000 people poison an enemy each year, and the majority of the culprits are women. Not all the offenders are successful at killing their victims, as in this case. Vikki Jo Mills didn’t poison the father of her child for money or revenge, but for attention. The 33-year-old knew that her poisoning stunt would make her an automatic celebrity, and she believed that the risk of incarceration was one that she was willing to take. More than that, she hoped that by poisoning her lover’s drinks he would give her the attention that she was craving.

Vikki Jo’s victim is named Therman Nesbitt, and he claims that he was suspicious of his drinking water before his girlfriend was arrested. Investigators suspect that Vikki Jo has hid Visine in her boyfriend’s drinking water 10 to 12 times in the past. Consuming the eye drops orally has caused her beau to experience nausea, vomiting, dizzy spells and other frustrating symptoms. The doctors started to make a connection between Nesbitt’s health issues and the Visine when they found traces of tetrahydrozoline in his blood. This compound is found in eye drops. Research shows that drinking the drops can even induce a coma if they are drunk in large quantities.

Police have arrested Vikki Jo and she is being charged with assault and reckless endangerment. The 33-year-old could be sent to prison for years if she is convicted on all counts.
