Taxi Driver Assaulted by UFC Champion

It was an unfair fight for one taxi driver who found himself being assaulted by former UFC heavyweight champion Ricco Rodriguez.

Little is yet known about the arrest of Rodriguez by the Phoenix Police Department. However, a Fox News report stated that the fighter was taken into custody when police got a phone call about an unruly taxi passenger. When they arrived, they learned that Rodriguez had reportedly refused to pay the driver the $70 fare to a bar called Garage. Rodriguez threw the driver down to the ground, and when police arrived, he resisted arrest then as well.

It took several officers minutes to detain Rodriguez, with one officer being thrown into a wall during the scuffle. He has since been charged with resisting arrest and assault.
