Step-Father Sexually Abused Step-Daughter for Over a Decade

In Kansas it is reported that a step-father, 37 years old, has officially been charged with multiple sex crimes against his step daughter. Apparently, the sexual abuse has been occurring for over a decade in their home. It is said that this man, whose name is not being released for safety reasons, is being held on a million dollar bail while he waits for his hearing at the end of this week. In Sedgwick County, he is currently facing up to nine different counts of sex crimes, which supposedly date back to 2003 when the step-daughter was seven years old. His different charges included four counts of rape, two counts of sexual exploitation of a child, two counts of aggravated criminal sodomy, and another count of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

The case was opened when one day the wife and mother of the young girl discovered inappropriate pictures of her daughter with her current husband. She tells the police that after finding the pictures she asked her daughter about them, and she acknowledged the raping. The daughter shared that they started when she was seven years old, and the most recent one occurred the week before her mom asked her about the pictures.
